Zmilky goes London

Home in Sweden.

Okay, okay, I admit, I'm alive. And I'm home in Sweden. I can't see why it took this long for me to actually just post this so I could end my London blog (or yes I can, I'm a lazy bum), but here it is - Hey, I'm back in Sweden. To continue my laziness streak I am gonna try to be quite brief with what happened between the last blogging and me going home to Sweden.

We'll, the highlight is probably the last weekend before leaving. The Friday was my last day at work and therefore also the day I got the rest of my pay. The same night there was a Christmas Party with work, so off course I attended to that as a last thing with the workmates. There was only one problem. There was a bar. And it was all free. My last memory is sweeping down about 4 tequilas in a row (already being drunk) - and after that my memory is cut off sharp. Now afterwards one might think "what a stupid friggen idea", but at the time I saw it as a perfectly great thing to do - you see I just "had to" take a tequila with everyone so I handpicked workmates etc and said "I gotta have a tequila with you!". I actually don't know if I passed the amount of 4-5 people, but that's where my memory stops so...

I wake up at 7am in my own bathroom at home. 2 meters away from my bed I had locked myself into the bathroom and fallen asleep on the floor. "Now this is weird" I thought, but didn't mind and went over and fell asleep again in my own bed to wake up around 2-3pm. Then I spent the day to try to puzzle out what had actually happened. I kept trying to tell myself "it can't be that bad - just because you don't remember it doesn't have to mean you did something stupid". We'll, I got confirmed that I were wrong..

I had been noticeably to drunk, I had thrown up on one of the head bosses of Fuzzy's, and two other head bosses had driven me home in a cab - having to call my roommate to get directions at 3am. My roommate who was at another party being reasonably drunk as well. We'll, in general terms I should just have left the memory gap as it was :P. At least it was my last day working there, so I was very lucky this whole incident didn't happened earlier!

Now one might think that the weekend ends there, but oh no. Around the time I had puzzled the terrible "last night" out, the hangover had started getting a little lighter. So I let my roommate convince me that we were going out clubbing. Now remember - I had gotten my pay the day before. So I felt rich, rich, rich! So I ended up wasting £50 and coming home around 8am in the morning.

I spend the rest of the Sunday chilling and the Monday shopping Christmas presents with a friend. Monday night I was leaving, so I got my stuff together in about 15 minutes (off course I can't plan ahead, that would just be aaaaaaaall wrong). Getting the stuff together was not to fun because of the Christmas shopping the day before. Not such a bright idea to buy friggen pillows when your going home by plane! Yes, I'm a tard sometimes. We'll, after getting my stuff together I ran to catch the last tube. I had bought a ticket for the stansted express even though it was quite expensive (I think it was around £17), just to be suure to get there on time. I had been informed it went every half an hour all night. When I came to the station around 12/1am I was told I had been misinformed. The next express went around 5-6am.. And my plane left around 6am, so yaay.. Off course I couldn't return the ticket either so I went and got a bus for an extra £10 instead. I gave both the express ticket (since it was valid for anytime) and my oyster card to a lady because she was nice and helped me with the bus etc. And got to the airport. Slept a little. Boarded the flight. Woke up in Sweden. So MKAY, I'M HOME!

Peace out biatches. Oh no, let's be nice now, use some proper British English to show that I've learned some etiquette in London...

"Cheers biatches."

Home sweet home...

Bad, bad idea..

Okay, the Zmilky has learnt at big big lesson.. This wednesday I went out with my roommate Henning for one "last night out". I thought that "hell, I don't need sleep, I've done this a bunch of times while going to school before, and it always turned out okay." It didn't turn out to okay this time. I had gotten my pay the friday before, so I felt really rich and everything which was muchos nice.. Or not. I ended up wasting like 35 pounds which meant I got rather shitless drunk. I got home so that I could get slightly under 1 hour sleep. I started work at 7, I were supposed to open up the show together with the vice managers. Two hours after going to bed I woke up from Henning shaking me. He had been doing that for about an hour, and the only reaction he had gotten had been me talking in my sleep. So I rushed straight to work, and got half an hour late.

That was the start. The vice manager was off course not to happy with me since she had had hell opening up the place alone in the morning. And I was both hungover and drunk and I smelled more liquor than any bum on the street. Oh golly was the day terrible, off course all the bad things in the world had to happend as well - our food orders going wrong, people standing in line all the way out on the street etcetera. And I've never felt so bad, oh my gawd. It's really not like school where you could just sleep through the whole day if you felt bad. So lesson learned - if going out having work the day after, don't touch the booze. For the love of gawd.

We'll, that was the bad, bad day, but here I am now. I have just moved! The new place is an apartment that I share with five swedes at Marble Arch. I love it, and the people are great :D. There's a nearby cheapass place called Somerfield, that might not be Sainsbury's (oh yes I love Sainsburys), but it's still quite good.

I moved yesterday, and I ended up bringing to much canfood that I should just have thrown away. When I finally had managed getting to Edgware Road I got stalked by a bunch of kids for a few minutes, offering to carry my bags. I had a lot of bags. Heavy bags. Of course I wasn't that stupid, and after a while they gave up. 2 minutes later the biggest bag bursted - can food all over the street. "Thank gawd the kids weren't still around and that this didn't happend at the tube" was the thoughts I tried to put into my head right then. But those thoughts didn't get my broken bag fixed and all my shit was still on the ground. After trying to solve my situation for about 5 minutes a lady came up to me with a bag. Oh the joy.. :D If I would have had a camera I would have taken a photo of her and posted it here just to show the gloria I saw around her head right then :].

Speaking off the camera I have no idea where it is, that is the reason for the lack of pictures right now.. It went missing sometime during the moving. But I gotta post something, so i'll just do a plain old picturesteal 'til someone sues me.

Nope, not even that wanted to work today.. Blah. Oh we'll, two weeks left now, then it's back to Sweden, whoop whoop!

A working man.

Wow, I never find any time to blog nowadays, a day for me now is pretty much just "go up around 6am, go to work, go to gym after work, get home at 10 pm, eat a bunch of food, read a few pages in a book, go to sleep". And the weekends just fades away.. But life is good, I really enjoy actually earning my own living :). I havn't blogged in quite a while now, but we'll, to keep it short - a bunch of friends came over from Sweden after the last blog entry, that week was pretty much work and party/chill 24/7 aka no sleep. It almost felt like being home in Sweden again when they were over, so it felt quite weird when they were all going home. But then another week passed of gymming, working, reading, and the occasional beer here and there, and I got over it.

The last month I've had an extremely tight budget, always having just 5-10 punds for each week. This week I would have had 2 pounds to live on until friday, so I had gotten all into the "save your ass off" spirit. Then yesterday I realised that I had about 4 pounds of free calls on my swedish sim card, so I started searching for it. Along with the sim card I end up finding bloody 14 pounds that I had hid away before and forgotten about.. Guess if I were happy? :D

I went out, bought some beer to share with my roommate Henning. He has been sick and away from work for a month now and hasn't touched alcohol in during this whole time (he's still quite sick), but yeah. I'm a bad influence sometimes. We'll, after that I felt like calling home for my free 4 pounds.. and ended up calling up all the money on the sim card - about 14 pounds. But hey, it was not the 14 pounds I had in my hand, so I kept being cheerful :D

Now I have around 5 pounds left on that money, but on friday it's payday, so whoopiieee!! We will all go out partying straight after work (with the pay in our pockets), so the day will probably end up mooderately bad! :D

Other then that I've found an apartment for my last month here in London (1dec-18dec). It's in Marble Arch with some Swedes, it seems really cool so I think I will enjoy it. Oh yeah, I've booked my flight back to Sweden. The morning the 19th of december I go, so whoo whoo.

Lalablabla, what else do I want to say.. It's annoying not being able to blog when you want to, you end up forgetting the stuff you actually tell about, but one thing is that I'm getting even more scared off the kids here in London. 2 weeks ago when Johan was here and we went out in the morning I saw some kids standing not to straight next to a car and one kid seemed to be snorting something, using the car as a "table". And they were maybe about 13 years old.. That's one thing about London that is less fun.. A thing that is less fun to Henning but more fun to me (for now) is the stupid questions you can end up getting when you try to do something here in England and get stuck in the bureaucracy. Henning tried to get sickleave. Being a English citizen (english father, swedish mother) and also having proof from his GP that he was sick you might think it wouldn't be to hard. Guess again. I can't remember that many of the silly questions right now, but one was concerning if he "had escaped from a country to england because of a volcano eruption" and there was a bunch of questions about the "personal life of the person who is renting his apartment back in Sweden right now". Weird to the maximum.

We'll, that's all for today, as usual the images doesn't want to be uploaded, so they're coming later, but see you all, baibaii!

The luck of a Zmilk.

Hoy hoy hoy, here I am again, this time sitting at a internet café with my laptop. My birthday turned out quite.. I don't wanna say bad, 'cause negging down your birthday feels bad, so let's just say "unlucky". I got overcharged and scammed at a shitty café, the tube closed just when I was going home and I chased the bus home for about 600 meters running, before it finally stopped at a station. I go up to the front door and knock on it. The bus is still standing still, letting passengers off.. The bus driver turns his head towards me, and shakes it. He then closes the passenger doors and drives away. It was kind of like that my whole birthday actually, it felt like everything and everyone tried to fuck me over, but hey, i'm 19 now, so happy joy joy! :D

Well, here I am now, my friend Johan from Sweden is here visiting me and some more friends from Sweden are coming tonight. Yesterday me and Johan went out (i'm free from work today) and the night turned out quite fine. I succeeded in burning my arm quite badly on the radiator during the pre-party (will probably leave a scar), and dropping my mobile so it went to pieces in the middle of the club dancefloor. I did off course not find all the pieces so now my mobile has a "new slim look". I've also destroyed my mp3-player, but that was a few days ago.. Now me and Johan has to go, out of internet time.. And work tomorrow, ugha.. But enjoy my misery through pictures, keke baibai!

It's ma birthday biaatch!

Yay, i'm 19. No cake, no presents. Feels weird somehow not just celebrating it at home with the family. But it's still quite nice, have gotten some free beer, donuts etc today instead, so I guess that works out :). Been down at Camden Market for a couple of hours now and I guess I'm going away now again. Camden sure is a quite weird, so far I've seen far to many of the 7-yearold gangsters walking around in big jackets with their kid-gangmates not to shock me. Oh well, wish me good luck surviving out there, baibai!

This is a suitable birthday present for a zmilk. Didn't get this though, had to buy it myself *:'(

Raise me up

I've gotten a raise! :D:D

Today at work we had evalutation of how fast etc you are and after that we had wagetalk. And I got a raise! So now I earn like 80 pounds more a month, yaay me!

It's been quite a while since I wrote last time now, but I've just felt I havn't had that much interesting to talk about. I got my first monthly pay this Friday, that was awesome. The same night I made a budget of how much I could spend every week etc. Two days later I had crashed that budget straight through the floor. And the rest of the week hasn't gone that much better either, a little to much "going down taking a beer at the pub after work". So now I'm kind of back to status "poor". But at least i'll get some more money at the end of the month now, so jolly-o-joy.

Yesterday I finally started going to the gym. I took the first step and bought a monthly card at Fitness First. 75 pounds, now ain't that cheap!? :P But it was kind of worth the money though. Really comfy environment with free tea and soft drinks, free dispensers with shampoo and soap in the showers and that kind of stuff.

So I got some help from a guy named Martin that showed me around and made me a personal program based on me going to the army in a couple of months. I tried out doing the whole program before going home. Man did I look ridiculous trying to do 30 chinups.. I made like 3.. 10 times.

Oh we'll, speaking of the devil - the army that is - my mom called me the other day and told me I had gotten a mail from the army. Due to lack of money my time in the army has now gone down from 15 months to just 11 months. That could be a good thing, but the thing now is that I just get 4 extra months free - I get called in, in July 2007 - which is just plain annoying!! What the hell am I gonna do for a total amount of 7 months!? It was hard enough to find out what to do for the three months after I've gotten home from London..

But oh we'll, I have quite a lot of thinking to do. And i'll save that 'til later, cause now I'm going to the gym again!

PS! I kind of hate the "timeshift" right now. Made me end up waiting in the cold at 7am in the morning for 1,5h.. I could've slept :'(

Always fun using the tube at rush hour.. Here I am waiting in a 10-minute line just to use the escalator leading out of the station. A fire here should sure be fun "run run, panic".

A week of work and the afterworker.

Ahh, so now I've finished my first week of work. It's been quite tough, but still a lot of fun. The amount of customers has increased by maybe 30% for each day that has passed, so the pace starts pumping fast. So off course this Friday had the biggest flow of customers so far, but luckily I got to do salads - which has less customers. Which was very nice since I ended up working 10 hours that day. When we finally locked up the store around 17:30 we decided to go out and take an afterworker. It was quite an afterworker. I got home around 2-3am :P.

I was all sweaty, my hair was a mess, and I only had a spare t-shirt with me, so I had the work-pants all night, yieeha. So I went around being the shabby stinkbomb, but hey, I did have a lot of fun :D.

Right now I'm sitting around wondering how the hell I've succeeded in wasting the whole pay I got this friday. Guess i'm in the deep shit again eh, yay me! Out of internet time now, but hopefully I'll get back with something interesting to say next time. Baibai <3.

Yep, believce it or not, that's me in the shabby green t-shirt.
